DESCRIPTION:Rekindle your Penguin spirit and reminisce with the Class of 1974 and earlier graduates! Please join us on Homecoming weekend to honor the newly inducted members of the Half Century Club with a luncheon and pinning ceremony. Those who have previously reached the 50-year milestone are also welcome to attend with a guest. \n\n\n\nYSU President Bill Johnson will be the featured speaker\, highlighting some of the incredible opportunities and points of pride at Youngstown State today. As a unique experience for this year’s attendees\, guests will enjoy fellowship and celebration at the historic Pollock House\, which became the home for the Youngstown State University President in 2012. \n\n\n\nReservations due no later than September 27\, 2024. DESCRIPTION:Join us for our annual YSU Night with the GreenJackets on Thursday \, August 29 (Thirsty Thursday with drink specials). We have concourse suites (with ceiling fans)\, as we again partner with the local Sertoma Clubs. The game is against the Columbia Fireflies. Gates open at 6:00 PM\, Games is at 7:05 PM\, Picnic buffet is from 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM. Saturday\, June 15th – 12-2pm MDT.Jaleel has quickly become a fan-favorite in Denver! In his rookie season with the Broncos\, Jaleel accounted for 410 rushing yards\, 160 receiving yards and three touchdowns for the team.Join chapter leaders George Hammar ’95 and Geoff Kehrer ’94 as we celebrate an accomplished fellow Penguin and enjoy the camaraderie of alumni and friends! SUMMARY:Streetscape - YSU Alumni
DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, June 1\, 2024 marks CityScape’s 27th annual Streetscape Planting Day. Interested volunteers should sign up online to help beautify the greater downtown area and help us plant new green space. CityScape encourages neighborhood groups to use this opportunity to start making plans for citywide beautification efforts! Streetscape Day projects will include trimming\, planting flowers and shrubs\, removing debris\, and mulching planted areas. Lunch will be catered by downtown and area restaurants under the big tent. Focus areas include Central Square\, West and East Federal Streets\, John Young Memorials\, South Avenue Bridge Police Memorial\, Mahoning Commons\, B&O Station\, Choffin Hillside\, City Hall\, Williamson Staircase\, Wick Park\, Harrison Common\, Smoky Hollow\, and more. Anyone interested in volunteering for planting day on June 1st can do so by signing up through the button above. The first 500 registrants will receive a free t-shirt. Please mention that you are with Pete’s Pride – YSU for your group/organization when registering.
