Bitonte College of Health and Human Services launches wellness events calendar

The Youngstown State University Bitonte College of Health and Human Services has launched a new wellness events calendar to increase access to health and wellness events and activities across the Mahoning Valley.

The college is dedicated to promoting health and wellness throughout the region by offering educational programs, outreach initiatives and community partnerships. As part of its mission to support public health and multi-generational well-being, it hosts a variety of events year-round — including health screenings, wellness talks, resource fairs and cooking demonstrations.

“The wellness events calendar reflects the college’s commitment to advancing public health through education, outreach and collaboration,” said Sara Michaliszyn, dean of the BitonteCollege of Health and Human Services. “By offering evidence-based programs, fostering the professional development of our students and building community partnerships, we aim to strengthen the health of the Mahoning Valley and promote well-being across generations.”

Many of these events are free and open to the public unless stated otherwise. Individuals and families of all ages are encouraged to participate, learn and engage in building a healthier community together. BCHHS warmly invites the community to take advantage of these opportunities to connect with experts, access resources and improve overall well-being.

As part of its commitment to community engagement, the calendar will be updated continuously. New events will be added as they are scheduled, ensuring residents have access to the most current information.

In addition to regular listings, the college organizes the YSU Wellness for Life Speaker Series. These sessions, held at various locations throughout the community, are free and open to the public. More information on the YSU Wellness for Life Speaker Series with details for each session will be available on the calendar.
