Dana School of Music launches week-long summer music camp

The Dana School of Music kicked off its Summer Music Camp on Sunday, welcoming over 60 talented music students from Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia for a week of intensive musical education and performance opportunities.

The comprehensive program combines traditional ensemble rehearsals and performance training with innovative elective courses designed to expand students’ musical horizons and technical skills. Under the guidance of the Dana School’s world-class faculty, campers will experience a full immersion in musical excellence while building lasting connections with fellow young musicians from across the tri-state region.

In addition to the instrumental and vocal tracks, students can now enroll in the audio production track.  Students enhance their musicianship through six specialized elective offerings including Electronic Music Production, Songwriting and Composition, Music Recording, String Chamber Music, Jazz Improvisation, and Leadership/Drum Major.

The week will culminate in public performances showcasing the students’ achievements and newly developed skills, providing families and the community an opportunity to witness the remarkable progress made during the camp.

The event is free and open to the public.

Parking for events in Bliss Hall is available at the Wick Avenue Deck (M30) using the Walnut Street entrance for a $5 fee payable in cash only.
