Students at Youngstown State University are finding that college is more than a place to earn a degree. It’s a place to build skills, make connections and gain the experience that shapes their careers. For many Penguins, internships and hands-on learning opportunities help bridge the gap between the classroom and their future professions. Grace Economus is one example of how YSU’s focus on experiential learning helps Penguins build confidence, gain professional experience and transition seamlessly into their careers. When Economus began her accounting internship at Packer Thomas, she didn’t expect it to launch her full-time career before graduation.
