The YSU Jazz Studies Area presents three Jazz Combos, 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 26 in the Spotlight Theater in Bliss Hall on the YSU campus. The concert features ensembles led by Dave Kana, Kent Engelhardt and Glenn Schaft.

Kana’s Sextet will perform “Blue Skies” by Irving Berlin, “Time After Time” by Jule Styne and Sammy Cahn and “Equinox” by John Coltrane.

Engelhardt’s Quintet will perform “Bags’ Groove” by Milt Jackson, “Django” by John Lewis and “Soul Sauce (Guachi Guaro)” by Dizzy Gillespie and Chano Pozo.

Schaft’s Quartet will perform “One, Two, Three” by Glenn Schaft, “It Never Entered My Mind” by Richard Rodgers and Lorenz Hart and “Impressions” by John Coltrane.

The event is free and open to the public.
