Youngstown State University’s Cliffe College of Creative Arts, proud home of the University Theatre department, invites audiences to attend its first production of the spring semester, “Episode 26.”

Inspired by classic Saturday morning sci-fi radio serials, this play will immerse audiences into the story of Buzz Gatecrasher, Hillen Dale and Dr. Art Deco as they face the menacing Lord Vaknor, ruler of the Planet Darvon. Featuring daring escapes, wild battles and interplanetary peril, University Theatre invites you to witness this thrilling adventure come to life as Buzz works to save the universe.

Directed by senior lecturer Todd Dicken, the cast for “Episode 26” includes Nick Figiel, Jamestown, Pennsylvania; Natalie Ciccone, Austintown, Ohio; Chloe Camacho, Bristolville, Ohio; Anthony Mudryk, Struthers, Ohio; Anna Airhart, McDonald, Ohio; Owen Mills, North Royalton, Ohio; Layla Munholand, North Jackson, Ohio; Karianne Rateno, Concord Township, Ohio; and Samantha Cox, Niles, Ohio.

“Episode 26” will also see faculty and student crew members including associate professor Katherine Garlick as costume designer; Dicken as scenic designer; Ellen Dayan as costume shop coordinator; Cox as stage manager; Gunnar Carwile as technical director; Jon Zelezniak as lighting advisor; Liam Donnelly as lighting designer; Lex McCaughtry as lighting board operator; Kurt Boggs as sound board operator; and Landon Eli handling wardrobe.

Audiences can see “Episode 26” February 13 – 15 and 20 – 22 at the Spotlight Theater, located inside YSU’s Bliss Hall. Friday and Saturday performances will begin at 7:30 p.m., with Sunday productions starting at 2 p.m. Tickets are available for purchase at ysu.tix.com.
