Youngstown State’s Sherri Hrusovski receives Legacy Educator Award

Sherri Hrusovski, executive director of the College of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics Professional Services at Youngstown State University, recently received the Legacy Educator Award from the Ohio Cooperative Education Association OCEA.
Hrusovski has dedicated more than 30 years to assisting both high school and adult learners. She has long been recognized for her strong commitment to building partnerships, bridging the gap between education and corporate America and persevering to create opportunities for students.
OCEA honored Hrusovski for her dedication to developing and expanding internship and co-operative education programs, advancing work-based learning experiences and strengthening connections between students and Ohio employers.
The Legacy Educator Award is presented to educators who demonstrate outstanding leadership and commitment to creating pathways that prepare students for successful careers through experiential learning opportunities.
The OCEA is a statewide organization dedicated to promoting and supporting quality co-op, internship and work-based learning programs by fostering partnerships between educators, students and employers.
