YSU distinguished professor discusses mentorship on Ohio Counseling Conversations podcast
Jake Protivnak, distinguished professor and counseling program director in the Department of Psychological Sciences and Counseling at Youngstown State University, recently appeared on the Ohio Counseling Conversations podcast to discuss the role of mentorship in the counseling profession.
During the May 12 episode, Protivnak shared insights from his own mentorship journey and discussed how mentorship differs from supervision and academic advising. He also highlighted the ways Chi Sigma Iota connects counseling students with mentorship opportunities that support professional and personal growth.
